The Neighborgoods is a one stop shop to pick up witty and unique goods. Our mission is to bring smiles to faces and add some joy to your everyday lives through pops of color, gift giving, and our fun sayings.
It all started with an idea to make homemade holiday gifts for friends. With the idea of printing illustrated family recipes onto dish towels, Jodi, the founder, signed up for a screen printing class in January 2014. She learned the process, created more designs, and ended up making dish towels for everyone to gift.
The Neighborgoods has grown slowly since then, expanding our line beyond dish towels and added so many more fun, foodie designs. Our goods are sold in over 600 stores nationwide and we started licensing our artwork as well.
All of our products are hand-packaged with love from our small, but mighty, team from our studio based in Washington, DC.
MEET THE TEAM
JODI is the founder and creator behind The Neighborgoods. All of the designs she creates are near and dear to her heart based on her love of food, its beauty, and how it brings people together. In her free time she can't get enough of perusing flea markets to add to her vintage collection and doesn't shy away from a DIY project (check out the floors she hand painted in our first shop). You can usually find her with a coffee in one hand and a few dish towels in her bag (they make great napkins on the go). She is mom to her weiner dog, Frankie, and a living room full of plants.
Favorite show to watch while designing: Gilmore Girls
Favorite Neighborgoods Product: She can't pick just one because they're all her babies, but she's currently using the Lilac tote on a daily basis.
JULIE (she/her/hers) is the Studio Production Manager busy making sure we get all of our orders out at the speed of light and that we don't blow our burrito budget in the process. She is also ready to jump in on all of the things as we grow our small but mighty business. She is a mixed media artist who loves listening to podcasts and drinking coffee while she works or paints. Julie spends most weekends at her cabin that she and her husband built kayaking, painting, thrifting and riding around in her old Jeep blasting 90's hip-hop. Her recent claim to fame is that she was the winner of a puzzle championship beating out a 5x Jeopardy winner and general scholar by 10+ hours. She is mom to 2 teen girls (send help) and an adorable baby hippo (AKA dog) named Loulou.
Favorite Show: White Lotus (she is trying hard to get Jodi to create a White Lotus towel set)
Favorite Neighborgoods Product: ALL the mushroom and cherry goodies + of course the non-existent While Lotus Towel set (sad face)
