Sipping Through Rose-Colored Glasses: A Holiday Cocktail Recipe
The holidays are about glitz, glamor, sparkles and high spirits.
But if you’re anything like me, you might notice the season's usual shine feels a bit dull. That’s why it’s time to slip on those rose-colored glasses, embrace a fresh perspective, and toast to what truly matters—cherished friends and family. I’ve stocked up on lots of bubbly, polished my best coupe glasses, and crafted a merry cocktail to ring in the season with joy.
This festive tipple exudes merriment with its layers of flavor and tantalizing texture. It starts with a gin base that weaves hints of herbs and botanicals. Add to that, an equal measure of Lillet Rosé which gives it a touch of berry essence and a delicate blush. A generous splash of sparkling rosé wine elevates the mix, while a dash of rose water enhances the cocktail's complex flavors. Together, these elements create a truly elegant cocktail.
Because your cocktail deserves to shine as brightly as you do, coat the rim of chilled coupe glasses with edible gold that sparkles in the light. Pour in the vibrant, blush-hued concoction, and garnish with a few pink peppercorns that float like tiny rubies in this garden of herbs and flowers.
With the first sip of this dazzling cocktail, the bubbles dance on your tongue, the spirits deliver a cozy warmth, and the peppercorns offer a delightful, unexpected pop—tempting you to raise your glass and shout, "Cheers!"
Wishing all of you a joyous and abundant holiday season.
